I first heard from AUCC when my son was denied unemployment benefits after he lost his job back in May 2009. I received a yellow card in the mail along with other two advertising to appeal the decision of the unemployment commission. The first thing I did was google for information on all 3 offers and I decided to go with Spencer Cohn as on the information I was able to obtain, I understood that his area of expertise was representing the ex employee.
Somehow I am under the impression that more and more individuals are denied benefits just because the official unemployment rate is measured by the people collecting unemployment benefits, not by the real number of people unemployed. In other words, if you are not collecting unemployment benefits, officially you are not unemployed, you are just someone on vacation that happens to be looking for a great employment opportunity. So the tendency, and this is just my opinion, is to denied the most claims so the numbers look better.
Anyway to make a long story short, I suggested to my son to call the 800 number on the card and ask all the questions regarding the pro's and con's of the process. He asked for a flat fee of $200, to be paid $100 in advanced and $100 before the hearing. My understanding is that he asked for the tapes and make his case and argue in favor of the individual before the ex-employer and the referee. We lost this one but I am always on the side that is better to try, that sit and cry. So be it and you move on.
A friend of mine calls me and said that her daughter is being asked to return all the money she has collected, so I suggested Spencer Cohn and she called him. In this case I think he charged a different amount as the work was different.
Then I started hearing about all this people being denied unemployment, and I keep referring people to AUCC when in January my daughter lost her job and was also denied unemployment benefits. I decided to call the people I recommended him on the first place and getting all this great feedback about his energy and the passion he shows defending your rights.
I decided to give my daughter the $300 to have him help her appeal her case. It took time, I think my daughter called him in mid march 2010 and she was able to get a new hearing for August 4. Soon after she gets a letter and it turns out that with the help of Spencer Cohn she was able to get her unemployment.
I will recommend anyone the services of AUCC. In my opinion it is well worth the time and the money.

I am so grateful for this man helping me with my situation.I was let go from my job in April of 2010 because I was pregnant and my employer after 2 years of working for him just simply didnt want to deal with my pregnancy, poor him!!!! I lost my first hearing and luckily I received a yellow card in the mail to which I was very sceptical! I called him barely 72 hours prior to my deadline for appealing the decision made by the unemployment officer. He reassured me he would take care of it! Since then we had our hearing which 2 days ago I received the letter letting me know we had won!I cannot express how happy I am I know for a FACT I could not have done it without him as I previously lost due to sheer ignorance! Hello , i've been currently unemployed since september of last year b/c my prior company ,G4S SOLUTIONS Formely known as "wakenhut" thought it was a great idea to set me up & fire me ,but my representation Aaron Cohen from AUCC had a different plan. In details i can explain the TRAGEDY & HORROR STORY that i have been thru w/this company & i cant believe GOD invented people like such w/out HEART & SOUL to say the less back in Dec.2011 i was rushed to the hospital bc i was injured while working then after slightly recovering i brought forth the documentations from the hospital to have my employer at the time,g4s solutions to take responsibility of the bill & they "laughed & cursed" letting me know that there was no way in hell they were gonna take fault for me been hurt on THEIR CLOCK & I Then placed a workers compensation lawsuit against them in which Elvis Adan my wrongful termination ,workers compensation & whistle blower attorney has been working the case til'this day with no outcome ,but it didnt stop the company ,g4s solutions to find a way to get rid of me b/c on sep.8th 2011 they set me up for failure as they gave me an order & i followed that order thru & i was fired immediately afterwards which led me to be unemployed til this day & as hard as the job market has been i havent been able to find a job. “You are not a licensed attorney in the state of Florida. The Complainant alleges that you are not licensed to practice law in any state, and I do not see any information which disputes that on the website. If you are licensed in another state, please provide your state of licensure in your response. I understand that Florida law authorizes nonattomey representation of claimants in unemployment matters, and that you are not required to be a licensed Florida attorney in order to offer services within the boundaries set by the Florida Administrative Code. However, it does constitute unlicensed practice of law in Florida for a nonattomey, even if offering services within an authorized area of the law, to hold oneself out as an attorney or lawyer. The Florida Bar v. Kaiser, 397 So. 2d 1132 (Fla. 1981). In reviewing your website, I find there are remaining statements and verbiage which could be construed to hold you out as an attorney and be misleading to the public.”
Spencer is unwavering in his efforts to help his clients. An attempt to attack this man's integrity has heen posted above, it is reckless and inflamatory. Spencer is a true professional who does not attack his competition as his energies are best directed towards provding the best advice for his clients. I was unceremoniously fired at the height of the unemployment crisis of 2008/09, and had no idea where to turn with job prospects appearing grim. Who can you trust to help the unemployed, but Spencer Cohn. He will get the horn every time. He never represented that he was an attorney like the attorney at the above who is trying to damage Spencer’s reputation. My husband was not fired from his job he quit his job because of the verbal abuse he was receiving from his boss, and her coming in drunk and him reporting her to HR and the vice president. After she wrote him up for no good reason he decided to quit and report her once again to HR and do a statement, but once again they swept it under the rug. After unemployment denied my husband the benefits because quitting was not a good reason to receive benefits. So we decided to appeal and got a date and date came never received a call on the date and time of the appeal and unemployment dismissed the case saying that my husband never pickup the call so we were going to appeal again and were getting frustrated and received a few cards in the mail, but this yellow card just caught our attention, I told my husband I am going to give Spencer a call and I was confident enough to trust in what he was saying. Once Spencer got my husband the appeal it only took 2 day for the referee to make a decision in favor of my husband. Spencer did an outstanding job and will highly recommend him to anyone. Don’t hire a lawyer hire Spencer, he does not charge an arm and a leg, lawyers do.

If there is one man in the world I would love to marry it is Spencer Cohn! He is INCREDIBLE! I had filed for unemployment after being replaced at my former job and was initially denied. Spencer Cohn is indeed the best National Employment Representative!!! My God i'm so glad I hired him. I won my TWC hearing against a big hospital and their fancy attorney all with the help of Spencer. Now anybody who knows-or can Google will know- how incredibly difficult it is for employees to win against employers in TWC hearings but thanks to Spencer I won. During the hearing I felt so protected hearing Spencer tear down false arguments my nursing supervisors made against me.
